Higher Equity Exposure Adds to Long-Term Appeal, Say Analysts
Analysts tracking the stock believe ICICI Prudential AMC’s relatively higher exposure to equity mutual funds enhances its long-term growth prospects. Expert Commentary Highlights Long-Term Compounding Potential
Market experts believe ICICI Prudential AMC is well positioned to emerge as a long-term compounder, provided it sustains asset growth and maintains cost discipline. Dr. Ravi Singh, Chief Research Officer at Master Capital Services, said, “With rising penetration of mutual funds, steady SIP inflows and increasing preference for professionally managed assets, the sector’s growth outlook remains favourable.”
He added, “ICICI AMC, with a robust distribution network and focus on profitability, places it as a potential compounder over time. That said, with post-listing valuation, sustained AUM growth, stable market conditions and cost discipline will be critical factors which will define further upside. From a long-term investor’s perspective, the company offers a strong position in India’s wealth creation journey.”
Pre-Listing Optimism Continues to Reflect in Post-Listing Performance
Even before the listing, optimism around ICICI Prudential AMC was evident among brokerage houses. PL Capital had initiated coverage ahead of the debut with a ‘buy’ rating and a target price of ₹3,000, implying an upside of nearly 39 percent from the IPO price.
With a strong listing, healthy trading volumes, and positive analyst commentary, ICICI Prudential AMC shares appear well placed to attract long-term investors seeking exposure to India’s expanding asset management industry. As domestic savings increasingly shift towards market-linked instruments, the company’s scale and brand strength could remain key drivers of sustained value creation.
