IIFL Finance Hits Record High, Arvind Fashions and Wockhardt Jump Up to 11% After Q2 Results
Q2 Results Impact: IIFL Finance Hits Record High, Arvind Fashions and Wockhardt Rise Up to 11%
Mumbai, November 3, 2025: Indian equities witnessed strong stock-specific action on Monday as the second-quarter earnings season continued to drive investor sentiment. Shares of IIFL Finance, Arvind Fashions, and Wockhardt surged up to 11%, riding on positive Q2 results and upbeat outlooks from brokerages.
IIFL Finance shares jumped nearly 5% to touch a fresh 52-week high of ₹559.75 apiece on the NSE after the company posted a strong turnaround in Q2 earnings. Investor optimism was further fueled by bullish brokerage views, particularly from Motilal Oswal, which reiterated its ‘Buy’ rating on the stock.
The non-banking financial company (NBFC) reported a net profit of ₹376 crore for the July–September quarter of FY26, marking a sharp recovery from a net loss of ₹158 crore in the same period last year. The strong performance was driven by robust growth in the company’s gold loan segment, which continues to benefit from high gold prices and steady consumer demand.
Revenue from operations climbed 29% year-on-year to ₹3,305 crore, compared to ₹2,556 crore in Q2 FY25.
Motilal Oswal maintained its target price of ₹635 per share, implying an upside potential of nearly 19% from current levels. The brokerage noted that IIFL’s earnings beat estimates, with improving off-book performance and strong loan disbursement trends.
However, analysts flagged continued asset quality pressures in the micro-LAP (loan against property), unsecured business loan, and microfinance segments. “Credit costs remain elevated, but we expect gradual moderation in the second half, aided by strengthened collection infrastructure and recovery efforts,” the brokerage said.
IIFL’s management remains optimistic about housing segment growth, supported by favorable credit demand and better risk control systems.

Shares of Arvind Fashions Ltd surged almost 10% to ₹550.9 apiece after the company reported robust earnings for the September quarter and outlined an ambitious growth roadmap.
For Q2 FY26, Arvind Fashions reported a consolidated net profit of ₹37.5 crore, up 27% year-on-year, compared to ₹29.6 crore in Q2 FY25. The company’s revenue from operations rose 11% YoY to ₹1,417 crore, reflecting sustained demand across its portfolio of premium and casual wear brands.
The company, which owns and markets global brands such as U.S. Polo Assn., Arrow, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger in India, said its EBITDA stood at ₹200 crore, highlighting operational efficiency and margin resilience.
“Our Q2 performance demonstrates continued growth momentum with strong consumer engagement,” said Amisha Jain, MD & CEO of Arvind Fashions. “The recent GST reforms are expected to further boost consumer confidence and discretionary spending. We remain focused on premiumisation, expanding retail footprint, and strengthening our direct-to-consumer channels to deliver long-term shareholder value.”
Analysts see further upside for Arvind Fashions as the company deepens its presence in the premium apparel market while leveraging its strong brand partnerships to enhance margins and scalability.
Pharmaceutical major Wockhardt Ltd saw its shares jump more than 11% to ₹1,433.80 apiece on the BSE after posting a solid turnaround in its second-quarter earnings.
Wockhardt reported a consolidated net profit of ₹78 crore for Q2 FY26, compared to a net loss of ₹22 crore in the same period last year. Sequentially, the company also improved from a ₹90 crore loss in Q1 FY26, signaling a steady recovery in its core operations.
Although revenue from operations declined 3% year-on-year to ₹782 crore (from ₹809 crore in Q2 FY25), the company’s profitability improvement was driven by cost optimization measures and improved product mix across international markets.
Market analysts believe the performance indicates that Wockhardt’s restructuring efforts and focus on niche global markets are beginning to yield results. The company’s emphasis on biopharmaceuticals and specialty drugs is expected to support medium-term growth despite short-term revenue volatility.
The broader Nifty 50 index traded flat, but stock-specific momentum dominated the session as investors responded to Q2 earnings updates. The Nifty Financial Services, Pharma, and Consumer Discretionary indices outperformed, driven by positive earnings surprises in these sectors.
Market participants noted that while overall corporate profit growth remains uneven, the improving microeconomic indicators and favorable domestic liquidity are encouraging selective buying in quality mid-cap and sectoral leaders.
With the second-quarter earnings season in full swing, analysts say stock differentiation will remain high as investors focus on companies showing consistent earnings growth, strong balance sheets, and clear strategic direction.
The strong show by IIFL Finance, Arvind Fashions, and Wockhardt highlights the market’s preference for firms demonstrating recovery, profitability, and operational resilience amid a mixed macro environment.
