India Foils Pakistan’s Air Offensive at 26 Locations, Condemns Civilian Infrastructure Attacks

Pakistan Launches Air Offensive Using Drones, Fighter Jets, and Long-Range Weapons

India condemned Pakistan’s aggressive actions, which involved the use of fighter jets, drones, long-range weapons, and loitering munitions to target both military and civilian infrastructure along the western borders. The offensive spanned multiple locations, from Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) to Pathankot (Punjab) and Naliya (Gujarat), as Pakistan attempted to destabilize areas with air intrusions and missile attacks. The offensive primarily aimed at critical military facilities and civilian infrastructure, including schools and medicare centers, underscoring the irresponsibility of such actions.

Highlights:

  • Pakistan’s offensive included drones, fighter jets, loitering munitions, and missiles.

  • Civilian infrastructure such as schools and hospitals were targeted in addition to military sites.

  • Attacks stretched from Srinagar to Pathankot and across 26 locations.

India Neutralizes Threats, Minimal Damage to Equipment and Personnel

In response to the air offensive, Indian armed forces successfully neutralized the majority of the threats posed by Pakistan. Although there was limited damage to equipment and personnel, India’s defense forces managed to defend against air intrusions and missile attacks. Specifically, the Indian Air Force (IAF) stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj faced the brunt of the attacks, though the impact on these stations was kept to a minimum.

Highlights:

  • India’s armed forces neutralized the majority of threats from drones, missiles, and aircraft.

  • Limited damage reported at IAF stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj.

  • Swift and calibrated response from India to contain the threat.

Civilian Infrastructure Targeted by Pakistan in “Cowardly” Attacks

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh emphasized the cowardly targeting of civilian infrastructure, specifically the attacks on medical centers and schools at air bases in Srinagar, Awantipur, and Udhampur. She called out Pakistan’s blatant disregard for international norms, highlighting that these attacks were aimed at non-combatant areas, which are protected under international law.

Highlights:

  • Pakistan targeted civilian infrastructure such as hospitals and schools.

  • Attacks on medicare centers and schools at strategic air bases in Kashmir and Jammu regions.

  • India strongly condemned these actions as irresponsible and cowardly.

India Strikes Back with Precision Attacks on Pakistani Military Targets

In retaliation, India conducted precision strikes on Pakistani military targets, focusing on technical infrastructure, command and control centers, radar sites, and weapon storage areas. This measured response aims to minimize escalation while effectively neutralizing Pakistan’s military capabilities used in the offensive. The swift and calibrated response by India reinforced its commitment to securing its borders and ensuring the safety of its citizens.

Highlights:

  • Precision strikes carried out on Pakistani military infrastructure, including command centers and radar sites.

  • India’s response focused on neutralizing military threats while avoiding civilian casualties.

  • Response designed to be calibrated and swift, avoiding broader escalation.

Ongoing Threats Neutralized by Indian Armed Forces

India reiterated that all locations in the country remain secure, with the armed forces taking appropriate actions to neutralize ongoing threats. The joint press briefing, led by Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, made it clear that India would continue to take steps to counter Pakistan’s aggressive actions while ensuring the safety of its civilians.

Highlights:

  • India reassured that all locations in the country are safe.

  • Indian armed forces remain on high alert, continuously neutralizing threats.

  • Ongoing defense operations to ensure security at all levels.
