India Pakistan Latest News Today (May 19): Spy Ring Crackdown in Punjab, Two Arrested for Leaking Military Secrets

In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police has arrested two individuals involved in leaking sensitive military information to Pakistan’s ISI, marking a significant success in the ongoing counter-espionage efforts.

The arrests took place in Gurdaspur, following credible intelligence inputs received on May 15, 2025. The two accused, identified as Sukhpreet Singh and Karanbir Singh, were allegedly sharing confidential details about Indian troop movements and key strategic sites.

🔴 These details were reportedly linked to Operation Sindoor, the recent military action that targeted terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav confirmed the arrests on social media platform X, stating that the duo had been under the radar for compromising national security. Their communication with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) involved passing along classified information related to troop deployments in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir.

This development has raised serious concerns about internal security breaches and the presence of espionage networks operating within Indian borders.

Authorities have confirmed that further investigations are underway, and more arrests may follow as intelligence agencies dig deeper into this spy ring.

This latest action comes amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, especially after the recent strikes under Operation Sindoor. The India Pakistan news today continues to develop rapidly, with both sides taking strategic steps on security and intelligence fronts.
