ITC Ltd has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of FY25, surprising the market with a net profit of ₹19,562 crore, significantly higher due to a one-time exceptional gain. This spike in profits comes largely from discontinued operations, specifically linked to the ITC Hotels demerger.

📌 The exceptional item contributed ₹15,179 crore to the bottom line, giving ITC a major boost in quarterly profits.

In terms of operational performance, ITC’s standalone revenue rose to ₹18,494 crore, compared to ₹18,290 crore in the same quarter last year, showing steady growth in its core business activities.

👉 On a consolidated level, the company reported:

  • Revenue of ₹20,376.4 crore, up 9% year-on-year

  • Net profit attributable to owners at ₹19,727.4 crore, supported by the demerger-related exceptional gain

💸 ITC has also declared a final dividend of ₹7.85 per share for FY25, rewarding shareholders as part of its continued focus on value distribution.

The ITC Hotels demerger appears to have been a strategic move, positively impacting the company’s overall earnings and allowing it to unlock value from its diversified operations.

This quarterly result reflects ITC’s strong financial foundation and the benefits of recent structural decisions. Despite the one-time nature of the gain, the company’s stable revenue growth and generous dividend indicate confidence in future performance.

Stay tuned as analysts and investors closely watch how ITC continues to navigate its multi-sector business in the coming quarters.
