New Delhi, April 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a series of high-level Cabinet meetings today at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg, shortly after the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The meetings are being seen as crucial in the wake of increasing tensions between India and Pakistan.
Among the key meetings being held is the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA)—a powerful body often referred to as the “super cabinet” due to its influence on critical national decisions. The presence of top Union ministers signals the gravity of the situation and the Centre’s intent to assess and address emerging security challenges.

Within days, India conducted the Balakot air strikes, a major counter-terrorism action across the Line of Control.
