These price reductions are a direct result of the GST simplification and rate cuts implemented from September 22, 2025. By cutting GST slabs from four to two—primarily 5% and 18% on most daily-use products—the government aims to boost consumption, ease inflationary pressures, and provide relief to middle-class households.
The upcoming festival season is expected to witness increased demand as consumers stretch their budgets further, benefiting from these GST savings. Experts also foresee a positive impact on the food processing sector, which relies heavily on affordable raw materials and better consumption rates.
