In a recent press briefing, former President Donald Trump clarified speculation regarding Elon Musk’s role and office location as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under his administration. Reports had suggested Musk might operate from the Oval Office or the West Wing, but Trump firmly denied these claims.

Trump’s Clarification on Musk’s Office

When questioned about Musk’s workspace, Trump stated, “No, no, it’s not Elon’s office.” He further elaborated that the DOGE office is a dedicated space with a clear mandate to ensure the swift implementation of executive orders and reforms.

“We have an office that’s set up for purposes of – when I do an executive order, that the order is carried out, not that it sits around for three months,” Trump explained.

This “go-get-’em” office will reportedly house a team of 20–25 staff members tasked with driving efficiency across federal agencies. According to The Times, Musk’s senior team will be based in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House grounds, separate from the Oval Office and the main West Wing.
