{"id":10856,"date":"2025-06-26T15:19:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T09:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trending.niftytrader.in\/?p=10856"},"modified":"2025-06-26T15:59:58","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T10:29:58","slug":"bank-nifty-hits-record-high-on-hdfc-axis-bank-boost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/markets\/bank-nifty-hits-record-high-on-hdfc-axis-bank-boost\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank Nifty Hits Record High on HDFC, Axis Bank Boost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/banknifty-live-analysis?\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bank Nifty<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">index notched a fresh all-time high of 57,076.95 during Thursday\u2019s session, buoyed by strong demand for private-sector lenders.<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/stocks-price\/hdfcbank\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HDFC Bank<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/stocks-price\/axisbank\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Axis Bank<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> shares jumped more than 1 percent, lifting the entire banking pack into solid green territory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe expect Bank Nifty to cross 58,000 within the next two to three weeks,\u201d said Chandan Taparia of Motilal Oswal.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Private lenders in the spotlight<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Market momentum was driven largely by heavyweight constituents:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/stocks-price\/hdfcbank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HDFC Bank<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> touched a new lifetime high, while<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/stocks-price\/icicibank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ICICI Bank<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> traded just shy of its record.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank make up roughly half of the Bank Nifty\u2019s weight, amplifying their impact on the benchmark. Sunny Agrawal of SBI Securities noted that the duo\u2019s performance was pivotal to today\u2019s rally, adding:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBanks are positioned for healthier credit growth after the recent repo-rate cut. While net interest margins may feel pressure in 1Q FY26, they should improve through FY26, setting up a strong exit in 4Q FY26.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Financial services index joins the party<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The optimism spilled over to the Nifty Financial Services index, which climbed nearly 1 percent to a new record close of 27,144.
