Former US President Donald Trump has stirred controversy again with his recent remarks targeting India and Russia. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump criticised both nations\u2019 economies, calling them \u201cdead\u201d and questioning their trade relations with the United States.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care,\u201d Trump said, making a strong statement that quickly grabbed global attention.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Trump Unhappy with India\u2019s Tariffs<\/h2>\n

The former US President reiterated a long-standing complaint about India’s trade practices. According to Trump, India\u2019s tariffs are “too high,” which he claims limits trade between the two countries. He said the US has done \u201cvery little\u201d business with India, once again calling for more balanced trade policies.<\/p>\n

Trump has repeatedly criticised India\u2019s import duties during his political career, especially during his presidency (2017\u20132021). The remarks appear to be a reaction to Medvedev\u2019s recent comments perceived as critical of the United States. Trump emphasised that Russia and the US \u201cdo almost no business together\u201d and suggested that it should remain that way.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s remarks come at a time when US-India trade ties have seen gradual improvement, especially under the Biden administration.
