At 10:11 am, the Sensex was down 459.14 points or 0.57% at 80,164.12, while the Nifty slipped 139.80 points or 0.57% to 24,456.35. Market breadth was negative \u2014 1,450 shares advanced, 1,707 declined, and 135 remained unchanged.<\/p>\n
IT companies, which depend heavily on the US market, fell 0.6%. The pharma index dropped 0.7%. Other sectors such as metal, realty, and auto also traded lower, adding to the market\u2019s weakness.<\/p>\n
