Centrum Capital has announced that it will divest its entire stake in Centrum Housing Finance Ltd. (CHFL), its affordable housing finance subsidiary, to Weaver Services for \u20b9430 crore.<\/p>\n
The transaction, already approved by Centrum\u2019s board, is subject to shareholders, regulatory, and other necessary approvals. The deal values CHFL at around \u20b9800 crore enterprise valuation. Since Centrum Capital owns a little over 50% in CHFL, it will receive \u20b9430 crore from the divestment, according to a company spokesperson.<\/p>\n
As of June 30, 2025, CHFL reported an AUM of \u20b91,640 crore, operating across 100 locations and serving over 18,000 customers. The company provides a range of loan products including home loans, construction loans, home improvement loans, and loans against property.<\/p>\n
While Centrum Capital is fully exiting, Morgan Stanley and Centrum\u2019s associates & employees, who together hold around 50%, will retain their stakes in CHFL.<\/p>\n
Jaspal Bindra, Executive Chairman of Centrum Group, expressed confidence in Weaver Services, backed by Premji Invest, Lightspeed Ventures, and Gaja Capital, to scale CHFL further.<\/p>\n
Satrajit Bhattacharya, Founder of Weaver Services, said they were humbled to take charge of an asset built with \u201ca lot of care.\u201d<\/p>\n
Advisors for the deal included E&Y and J Sagar Associates for CHFL, and KPMG with Khaitan & Co for Weaver Services.<\/p>\n
