The move is expected to take place through a large block deal, according to sources quoted by the channel.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1183\"><em data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1165\">Investor appetite for the proposed stake sale is currently being assessed, and the deal size is likely to be significant,<\/em> the report added.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1434\">At the end of September, Blackstone held a 40.1% stake in Mphasis, through its entity BCP Topco IX Pte Ltd. The potential sale marks a notable development for the IT firm, which has been one of the key assets in Blackstone\u2019s India portfolio.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1441\" data-end=\"1486\">Mphasis Shares React; Stock Down 3%<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1721\">On November 17, Mphasis shares closed 3% lower at \u20b92,682 per share.<br data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"1562\" \/>The stock currently trades between a 52-week low of \u20b92,044 and a 52-week high of \u20b93,238, giving it a market capitalisation of nearly \u20b951,000 crore.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1721\"><em><strong>Also Read<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niftytrader.in\/content\/michael-burry-ai-bubble-billion-dollar-shorts\/\">Michael Burry Doubles Down Against \u2018AI Bubble\u2019 With Billion-Dollar Shorts; Revives Dot-Com Memories<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1728\" data-end=\"1765\">Mphasis Q2 FY26 Performance<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1880\">The stake sale buzz comes a month after Mphasis announced solid financial results for the July\u2013September quarter.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"2179\">\n<li data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1973\">\n<p data-start=\"1884\" data-end=\"1973\">Net profit rose 11% to \u20b9469 crore, compared to \u20b9423.3 crore a year earlier.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2100\">\n<p data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2100\">Revenue from operations increased 10.34% to \u20b93,901.91 crore in Q2 FY26, as against \u20b93,536.14 crore in Q2 FY25.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2179\">\n<p data-start=\"2103\" data-end=\"2179\">Sequentially, profit and revenue grew 6.18% and 4.53%, respectively.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2181\" data-end=\"2322\">Highlighting the company\u2019s growth momentum, Mphasis CEO and MD Nitin Rakesh said the firm\u2019s early focus on AI is yielding strong results.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2479\">\n<p data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2479\"><em data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2470\">\u201cOur early, focused investments in AI have positioned Mphasis as a strategic partner for clients navigating their transformation journey,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2481\" data-end=\"2529\">The company also announced impressive deal wins:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2531\" data-end=\"2691\">\n<li data-start=\"2531\" data-end=\"2591\">\n<p data-start=\"2533\" data-end=\"2591\">Total contract value (TCV) of $528 million in Q2<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2592\" data-end=\"2691\">\n<p data-start=\"2594\" data-end=\"2691\">87% of these deals were in new-gen services, underscoring strong traction in AI-led offerings<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2698\" data-end=\"2720\">What\u2019s Next?<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2722\" data-end=\"2999\">While Blackstone\u2019s potential exit or stake reduction is yet to be formally confirmed, the market reaction indicates investor sensitivity to promoter-level changes.
