The trigger for the decline was NSE\u2019s announcement of new initiatives aimed at expanding its footprint in commodities. The exchange has already launched gold futures contracts (10 gm), allowing traders to participate with just 10% margin, significantly lowering the entry barrier for retail and small traders.<\/p>\n
In addition, NSE has introduced the option of physical gold coin delivery, which could further enhance participation from retail investors who prefer tangible settlement options. These moves indicate a well-thought-out strategy to build liquidity and challenge incumbents in the commodity derivatives segment.<\/p>\n
