The stock rallied after CEO Abhijit Kishore said the company expects the fundraising process to close \u201cvery fast,\u201d boosting optimism around Vodafone Idea\u2019s network expansion and financial recovery plans.<\/p>\n

At around 1 PM, Vodafone Idea shares were trading 6% higher at Rs 13.64 apiece, touching their 52-week high.<\/p>\n

      Vodafone Idea\u2019s \u20b951,970 crore profit was mostly an accounting gain<\/h2>\n

      Vodafone Idea\u2019s Q4 \u201cprofit\u201d was not driven by strong telecom business performance. Most of it came from a one-time accounting adjustment after the government reduced the company\u2019s AGR dues.<\/p>\n

      The company\u2019s AGR liabilities were cut from around \u20b987,695 crore to \u20b964,046 crore after reassessment by the Department of Telecommunications.<\/p>\n

      Because of this reduction, Vodafone Idea booked a large exceptional gain in its financial statements, which pushed reported net profit to \u20b951,970 crore.<\/p>\n

      However, analysts said the company\u2019s core telecom operations still remained loss-making on an operational basis.<\/p>\n
