The company\u2019s <strong>revenue grew by 5% YoY<\/strong>, standing at <strong>\u20b963,973 crore<\/strong> for the quarter ended December 31, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>TCS board also announced an interim dividend of \u20b910 per share and a special dividend of \u20b966 per share<\/strong>, with the <strong>record date set for January 17, 2025<\/strong>, and <strong>payment scheduled for February 3, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Financial Highlights (Q3 FY25)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Net Profit<\/strong>: \u20b912,380 crore, up <strong>12% YoY<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue<\/strong>: \u20b963,973 crore, up <strong>5% YoY<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Operating Margin<\/strong>: <strong>24.5%<\/strong>, improving by 40 basis points (bps) sequentially.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Net Cash from Operations<\/strong>: \u20b913,032 crore, <strong>105.3% of net income<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>BFSI Growth<\/strong>: <strong>0.9% YoY<\/strong> in constant currency (CC) terms.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consumer Business Growth<\/strong>: <strong>1.1% YoY<\/strong> in CC terms.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication &amp; Media Segment<\/strong>: <strong>Declined 10.6% YoY<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Life Sciences &amp; Healthcare Segment<\/strong>: <strong>Declined 4.3% YoY<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employee Strength<\/strong>: <strong>607,354 employees<\/strong>, with <strong>35.3% women representation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Attrition Rate<\/strong>: <strong>13%<\/strong>, lowest in recent quarters.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Patent Portfolio<\/strong>: <strong>8,549 patents applied<\/strong>, <strong>4,585 patents granted<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>CEO\u2019s Statement<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Commenting on the company\u2019s performance, <strong>K Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer &amp; Managing Director, TCS<\/strong>, said:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;We are pleased with our strong Q3 performance, which was well-balanced across industries, geographies, and service lines. The continued growth in BFSI and Consumer Business, along with early signs of recovery in discretionary spending, gives us confidence for the future. Our strategic investments in AI, upskilling, and global partnerships will further strengthen our market leadership.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sectoral Performance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The BFSI segment, which had posted <strong>0.1% YoY growth in the previous quarter, improved to 0.9% YoY<\/strong>. The <strong>consumer business segment grew by 1.1% YoY<\/strong>, while <strong>the communication and media segment declined by 10.6% YoY<\/strong>, and <strong>life sciences &amp; healthcare shrank by 4.3% YoY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>TCS also reported a <strong>steady increase in operational efficiency<\/strong>, with an EBIT margin improvement of <strong>20 bps QoQ to 24.3%<\/strong>, supported by lower revenues from low-margin deals, talent development initiatives, and rupee depreciation against the US dollar.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Dividend Announcement<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>third interim dividend of \u20b910 per share and a special dividend of \u20b966 per share<\/strong> were declared, with <strong>January 17, 2025, as the record date<\/strong>. The payout will be processed on <strong>February 3, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Stock Market Performance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ahead of the Q3 earnings announcement, <strong>TCS shares closed 1.57% lower at \u20b94,044<\/strong> on Thursday.
