The ARBL is continuously engaged in the manufacturing of industrial as well as the automotive batteries which was founded in 1985. It was first to introduce the Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with the specific three–year warranty in industrial and automotive applications. And was also the first to submit a 60–month warranty for automotive and the two-wheeler batteries. The company has pan India presence with a specific network that is spread across 18,000 retail outlets, 2,000 service hubs, and other 400+ PowerZone retail outlets. The company is the largest and one the dominant market leader of standby batteries in all the areas of work such as Railways, Telecom, Power Generating stations in India. It is also one of the largest manufacturers of stand VRLA batteries in entire South Asia. ABBL also owns one of the largest and most innovative & modern automotive battery plants in Asia which can pr ... oduce 2.5million batteries as per annum. As on February 2, 2011, the company unveiled a new identity coinciding with its silver jubilee celebrations. And on the occasion of the group Chairman, Dr. Ramachandra N. Galla announced to set up an Amara Raja Digital World City (ARDWC) and had the vision to achieve $25 billion in revenue by 2025 and continue to create non–seasonal jobs.
