DLF Limited or DLF

It was founded in 1946 by Chaudhary Raghuvendra Singh, and with its subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates, the group is mainly in the business of the real estate development. It also has a unique business model with the earnings arising from different events and rentals with the exposure across many industries, segments, and other geographies, which mitigate any down–cycles in this particular market. It has also forayed into various infrastructure, SEZ, and hotel businesses. It operates in all possible aspects of the real estate development, which ranges from the acquisition of land to planning, executing, and constructing & marketing of the project. It is engaged in the business of generation and transmission of the power, and provision of maintenance services, recreational activities, and hospitality. The DLF has developed the first residential colonies in Delhi such as Krishna Nagar in East Delhi, which was accomplished in 1949. And since then, they have been a reason for the development of many of 'Delhi's renowned urban colonies which include South Extension, Greater Kailash, Hauz Khas, and Kailash Colony. Their first landmark real estate development project known as the DLF Qutab Enclave which has been evolved into the DLF City. And this city is spread over 3,000 acres in Gurgaon and is also an integrated township which includes several residential, commercial, and other retail properties in a modern city infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, hotels, and various shopping malls. It also continued to boast of the prestigious DLF Golf and the Country Club with the night golfing facilities involved in it. It is also India's largest real estate company in terms of revenues, earnings, market capitalization, and developable area with 266 million square feet worth of both the developed as well as under development projects. DLF also has over 425 million sq. Ft. of the development across its different businesses, which includes polished, ongoing, and planned projects as well. This particular land bank is being spread over 32 cities and especially in the metros and the key urban areas across the country. DLF with approximately having experience of more than six decades is capitalizing on the emerging market opportunities to deliver the high–end facilities and projects to its broad base of customers by continually upgrading its internal skills and other resource capabilities. And with the growth of the Indian economy and the resulting increase in both the corporate as well as the consumer incomes, and foreign investment, the DLF seems to have significant opportunities for growth in its three main businesses. The mission is to build a world-class real estate development company which includes the highest standards of ethics, and professionalism, and customer service which will contribute to and also be benefited from the growth of the Indian economy.
