Orkla India, the Indian subsidiary of Norway-based Orkla ASA, is set to open its ₹1,667 crore initial public offering (IPO) on October 29, 2025. The issue will remain open for three days and close on October 31, 2025.
Ahead of its launch, the Orkla India IPO is showing strong demand in the grey market, trading at a 16% premium to its issue price of ₹730 per share.
This indicates positive investor sentiment and growing confidence in the company’s offering before the subscription window opens.

The IPO will be a pure offer for sale of 2.28 crore equity shares, amounting to ₹1,667.54 crore.
There will be no fresh issue of shares, meaning the company will not raise new funds. Instead, the proceeds will go entirely to the selling shareholders — Orkla ASA, Orkla Asia Holdings AS, and Orkla Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.
The promoters are partially divesting their holdings through this offering. Post listing, the ownership structure of Orkla India will be realigned, though the parent entity will continue to maintain control.
