SpaceX-owned Starlink has initiated its first phase of hiring in India, indicating progress toward its satellite broadband service launch in the country.
According to job listings on the SpaceX careers page and LinkedIn, Starlink is currently recruiting for finance and accounting roles, including payments manager, accounting manager, senior treasury analyst, and tax manager.
All roles are based in Bengaluru, which serves as Starlink’s operational hub in India.
In its job posting, SpaceX stated that as Starlink continues expanding globally to deliver low-latency satellite broadband services, its Indian subsidiary aims to strengthen financial oversight and compliance.
“As Starlink expands its global footprint to deliver its low-latency satellite broadband services worldwide, its Indian subsidiary is looking to hire an accounting manager to oversee financial reporting and compliance,” the company said.
The position involves building and scaling accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance functions to support Starlink’s operations in India.

Starlink clarified that only locally based candidates with valid work authorisation will be considered for these roles. The company also noted that remote or hybrid work options are not available, signalling the importance of an on-ground team presence for operational readiness.
Starlink has also sought permission to establish three gateway stations in Mumbai, Chennai, and Noida, essential for supporting its satellite broadband network infrastructure across India.
