Asset Management Business Drives Record Operating Profit
Operating profit after tax (PAT) rose 14% YoY to a record Rs 1,513 crore in Q1 FY27, the company said, powered by a 73% surge in the asset management business’s profit to Rs 245 crore during the quarter.
The segment is now the single largest contributor to Motilal Oswal’s overall PAT, accounting for 40% of the total, according to the company’s disclosure.

`Annuity-linked revenue streams now contribute 66% of total business, which the company said has improved the quality and predictability of its earnings.
Credit Rating Upgrade and Ten-Year Track Record
Ratings agency Crisil upgraded Motilal Oswal’s long-term credit rating to AA+ with a Stable outlook during the quarter, citing the strength of its franchise and resilience across market cycles, the company said.
Motilal Oswal also highlighted a 10-year operating PAT compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 33%, earnings per share (EPS) CAGR of 28%, and average return on equity (ROE) of 23%, achieved entirely through internal accruals without equity dilution across three share buybacks and consistent dividend payouts.
