PAGEIND

Page Industries Limited or PAGEIND

PAGEIND or Page Industries was set up in 1994 with the principal objective of bringing the world-renowned brand Jockey to India. Both of its promoters, Genomal family, have been in an association with Jockey International Inc. for 44 years due to their sole licensee is in the Philippines. Also, it became a public company in March 2007 and is quoted on both BSE and NSE of India. It is located in Bangalore and is the exclusive licens ... ee of Jockey International Inc. (USA) for the production and manufacture and distribution of the Jockey brand innerwear for men and women in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. In the early 1990s, when globalization was unfolding in India, innerwear was a low involvement category for consumers. There was no organized international innerwear brand retailed in India. Page Industries Ltd identified this need and introduced a wide range of quality products for men and women employing modern global marketing and distribution methods. The company commenced operations in the year 1995 with the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of Jockey products. As of the end of 2008, the company employs over 6,000 people with manufacturing processes spread over three plants in Bangalore, totaling 500,000 square feet of space. It commands a widespread pan–India distribution encompassing over 16,000 retail outlets in 1,100 cities and towns. It has also revolutionized the innerwear market by launching exclusive Jockey outlets across India numbering 50 as of the end of 2008. In 2005 and 2009, the company received the Best Licensee of the Year Award by Jockey International Inc., in recognition for its exceptional achievement in establishing and strengthening the Jockey brand as a market leader in India. In August 2008, the promoters of the company, Genomal family and Jockey International USA celebrated their golden anniversary of the association. Also, both groups renewed their commitment for another 50 years.

What is EBITDA Margin & EBIT Margin ?

Corporate accounting is required to adhere to the standards and practices collectively referred to as the generally accepted accounting principles. EBITDA is an excellent way for corporate accountants to start compiling data, but it should not be considered an absolute result. This is due to the fact that many consider EBITDA more of a broad stroke than a definitive form of accounting practice.
