Indian benchmark indices closed higher on Thursday, July 9, recovering from the previous session’s sell-off triggered by escalating tensions in West Asia. The BSE Sensex settled at 76,741.82, up 238.22 points or 0.31%, while the NSE Nifty 50 added 80.75 points to close at 23,962.80.
Bank Nifty outperformed with a 0.90% gain to end at 57,252.45. GIFT Nifty was trading around 24,078 in late Thursday trade, pointing to a flat-to-mildly-positive start on July 10. With Q1 FY27 earnings season underway alongside several company-specific developments, here are the stocks likely to stay in focus in Friday’s trade.
TCS Q1 Results: Profit Rises 4.6%, Rs 12/Share Dividend Declared
Tata Consultancy Services reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 13,349 crore for Q1 FY27, up 4.6% from Rs 12,760 crore a year earlier, a growth rate some reports round to 5%. Revenue from operations rose 13.9% year-on-year to Rs 72,275 crore against Rs 63,437 crore in Q1 FY26, up 2.2% sequentially. Operating margin stood at 24%, with net margin at 19.2%.
Total contract value booking came in at $9.5 billion for the quarter, including an $800 million AI-led transformation deal with SKF, while the company’s annualised AI revenue run rate touched $2.6 billion, up 13.6% quarter-on-quarter. The board approved an interim dividend of Rs 12 per share, with July 15 as the record date and July 31 as the payout date.
Anand Rathi Wealth, Muthoot Microfin Post Q1 Updates
Anand Rathi Wealth’s reported consolidated profit after tax jumped 73.6% year-on-year to Rs 163 crore from Rs 93.9 crore, while reported revenue from operations rose 17.5% to Rs 322 crore from Rs 274 crore, aided by a nearly 11-fold jump in other income to Rs 110.3 crore.
On an adjusted basis, excluding fair value gains on investments, ESOP costs, and related tax effects, the company said PAT grew 24% year-on-year to Rs 116 crore and revenue rose 18% to Rs 336 crore. Assets under management crossed the Rs 1-lakh-crore mark for the first time, up 21% year-on-year to Rs 1,06,300 crore, on net inflows of Rs 2,743 crore.
Muthoot Microfin’s assets under management grew 18% year-on-year to Rs 14,457 crore as of June 30, with disbursements up 49% to Rs 2,645 crore. Collection efficiency improved by 497 basis points to 97.97% from 93% a year earlier. CRISIL upgraded the company’s long-term credit rating to AA-/Stable from A+/Positive during the quarter.
Separately, Mahindra & Mahindra’s total vehicle sales rose 37% year-on-year to 1,06,207 units in June, per the company’s own monthly release, with exports more than doubling to 5,918 units, up 125%.
Dixon-Vivo JV, Vikram Solar, Power Grid and Havells in Corporate Action
Dixon Technologies has executed a joint venture agreement with Vivo Mobile India to set up an OEM entity for manufacturing smartphones and other electronic devices in India, with Dixon holding 51% and Vivo India the remaining 49%. The move follows government clearance for the investment structure, pending since the companies signed an initial term sheet in December 2024.
Vikram Solar has signed a solar cell supply agreement with Evervolt Solar Technology India for 130 MW of Mono-PERC, DCR-compliant cells, adding to its order book ahead of its planned IPO.
Power Grid Corporation of India has been declared the successful bidder for an inter-state transmission project covering augmentation and bay-extension works at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS, and Kanpur (PG), to be executed on a build-own-operate-transfer basis, and has received the letter of intent.
Havells India has entered a strategic collaboration with Norway’s Pixii AS to co-develop modular Battery Energy Storage Systems for small-scale, commercial, and industrial segments in India, with a phased roadmap toward local manufacturing.

Torrent Pharmaceuticals has announced a voluntary recall of select batches of its Semalix injection disposable pens as a precaution after manufacturing partner Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories flagged a quality issue tied to the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Torrent said no other semaglutide products in its portfolio are affected.
Container Corporation of India and GAIL India have signed a 15-year agreement to set up an LNG dispensing station at CONCOR’s ICD Khodiyar terminal in Ahmedabad, an update to the MoU the two companies first signed in April 2025. GAIL will operate the station; CONCOR will provide land and terminal facilities.
Pace Digitek’s subsidiary Lineage Power has signed two separate memoranda of understanding, with Onward Solar Power and Kalpa Power, for the supply of Battery Energy Storage Systems, adding to an order book that already includes a 3 GWh battery-cell supply agreement with China’s Rongjie Energy Tech signed in late June. Lineage Power has also crossed 1.25 GWh of cumulative BESS output, with 260 containers delivered in its first year of operation.
Unichem Laboratories is in focus on two fronts: Polunin Capital Partners’ Emerging Markets Small Cap Fund has picked up a 0.85% stake (6 lakh shares) for Rs 38.84 crore at Rs 646.44 per share, even as the stock remains under scrutiny after the US FDA issued a Form 483 with five observations following an inspection of the company’s Goa manufacturing facility.
Sunteck Realty saw confirmed bulk-deal activity in its stock: Fidelity Investment Trust, via its Series Emerging Markets Opportunities Fund, acquired a 0.68% stake (10.05 lakh shares) for Rs 32.33 crore, while Schroder International Selection Fund Emerging Asia sold a 0.9% stake (13.2 lakh shares) for Rs 42.47 crore at Rs 321.64 per share. As of March 2026, Fidelity held a 1.6% stake in the company and Schroder held 2.25%.
