Key Takeaways
- Titan Company’s consolidated net profit jumped 62.9% YoY to ₹1,777 crore in Q1 FY27, beating brokerage estimates on strong jewellery demand.
- Hindalco Industries posted a record consolidated PAT of ₹7,013 crore, up 75% YoY, on higher aluminium prices and improved Novelis performance.
- State Bank of India’s standalone net profit rose 10.23% YoY to ₹21,121 crore, with net interest income up 14.88%.
- Ola Electric Mobility’s net loss narrowed 21.5% YoY to ₹336 crore even as revenue fell 45%, aided by a sequential rebound in deliveries.
- Astra Microwave Products‘ board meets today, August 10, to approve Q1 FY27 results, following a ₹2,205-crore HAL order win in July.
- The Nifty 50 closed Friday at 24,570.65, down 0.27%, holding above the 24,350 support zone that analysts have flagged as key to the index’s near-term bullish structure.
Indian benchmark indices ended Friday’s session lower, with the Nifty 50 slipping 65.35 points to 24,570.65 and the Sensex declining 455.55 points to 78,499.17, pressured by weak financial stocks and elevated crude prices. Both indices still closed the week up roughly 0.5-0.8%.
Technically, the Nifty’s dip hasn’t dented its bullish structure, with 24,350 the support level analysts are watching, a break below could open the door to deeper consolidation given persistent crude volatility.
A cluster of June-quarter earnings released after Friday’s close, led by Titan, Hindalco, SBI and Ola Electric, will keep these counters in focus in Monday’s trade, alongside Astra Microwave Products, whose board meets today to approve its own Q1 numbers.
The bigger question for Monday is whether strong headline earnings translate into equally strong stock reactions.
Titan’s operating beat, Hindalco’s record profit and SBI’s NII growth raise the bar for follow-through, while Ola Electric presents the opposite setup: improving sequential numbers but a sharp annual revenue decline. For traders, the gap between reported numbers and expectations could matter more than the headline profit growth.
