The ad reportedly claimed:“Jinko Ayurved aur Vedo ka gyaan nahi, Charak, Sushrut, Dhanwantari aur Chyawanrishi ke parampara mei ‘original’ Chyawanprash kaise bana payenge?”Further, the ad allegedly described a 40-herb Chyawanprash as “ordinary,” which Dabur contended was a direct reference to its own product, widely known for using more than 40 herbs and holding over 60% market share in the segment.Dabur’s StandDabur accused Patanjali of spreading misleading and disparaging messages that undermine consumer trust in a classical Ayurvedic formulation regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. It argued that labeling other products as “ordinary” and implying health risks from non-Patanjali Chyawanprash is both misleading and dangerous. The company also pointed out that Patanjali is a repeat offender, citing past Supreme Court contempt proceedings for similar advertisements targeting competitors.Market ImpactDabur, which owns trusted Ayurvedic and wellness brands like Dabur Honey, Honitus, Vatika, and Real Juice, reported a consolidated net profit drop of 8.35% to ₹312.73 crore in Q4 FY25, citing higher expenses and muted demand. Its revenue stood at ₹2,830.14 crore, marginally up from the previous year.Know More aboutStock Market TodayDabur Share PriceYou Might Also LikeUndervalued Rupee Could Attract Foreign Investors Back to Indian Markets, Say BrokeragesRupee Bounces Back From Intraday Weakness, Closes at 89.92 Against the DollarGoogle’s Future Lies in Cloud and Subscriptions, Not Just Ads, Says India Head Preeti LobanaWhat’s Triggering IndiGo’s Flight Cancellations and How It Could Impact Future OperationsDespite Tariff Tensions, India Remains Key Growth Market for Google, Says Country Head Preeti LobanaShare This ArticleFacebookCopy LinkShare Previous Article HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan Moves Supreme Court in Dispute with Lilavati Trust Next Article Jaishankar Highlights India’s Energy Concerns Amid US Proposal for 500% Tariff on Russian Oil Imports Stay Connected3.9kFollowersLike1.5kFollowersFollow10FollowersPin261FollowersFollow22.9kSubscribersSubscribe20kFollowersFollow561FollowersFollowLatest NewsCAMS Stock Appears to Plunge After 1:5 Split — But the Drop Is Only a Technical AdjustmentStock Market NewsDecember 5, 2025Trading Platforms Face Downtime as Cloudflare Outage Spreads to Zerodha, Groww and OthersStock Market NewsDecember 5, 2025IndiGo Shares Rebound After DGCA Grants Partial Relief on Pilot Duty NormsStock Market NewsDecember 5, 2025Rate Cut Meets a Falling Rupee: Yes Bank, Union Bank Shares Rise Up to 3% on Bank Nifty InclusionStock Market NewsDecember 5, 2025
