The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has opened Namo Bharat trains and stations for private bookings, allowing individuals and organisations to host events, celebrations, and media shoots for a fee starting at Rs 5,000 per hour. The initiative comes with a detailed set of guidelines to ensure that all activities are conducted without affecting regular train services or causing inconvenience to commuters.

According to the NCRTC, private events will be allowed only during a fixed time window, and all activities must follow operational protocols and safety requirements laid down by the authority.

Events Allowed Between 6 am and 11 pm

The NCRTC has specified that celebrations and private gatherings on Namo Bharat premises will be permitted only between 6 am and 11 pm.

Decorations and Personalisation Allowed with Restrictions

The authority has allowed simple decorations for those who want to personalise their event. However, these decorations must comply strictly with NCRTC guidelines.
No elaborate setups are permitted, and event organisers must ensure that decorations do not interfere with station facilities, safety equipment, or train functioning.

All celebrations and shoots will be conducted under the supervision of NCRTC staff and security personnel. The staff will be present to monitor compliance, ensure safety, and prevent any activity that may impact station operations or create hazards.

Why Namo Bharat Locations Are Being Offered

The Namo Bharat stations located along the Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor are part of the offering. Stations such as:

  • Anand Vihar

  • Ghaziabad

  • Meerut South

have been included in the locations available for private bookings.

According to the NCRTC, these stations are expected to attract residents living along the Delhi–Meerut route who wish to use familiar public spaces for private occasions. The corporation said the initiative creates an opportunity for people to celebrate events in settings that blend modern infrastructure with public accessibility.

Film, Advertising, and Media Shoots Also Permitted

In addition to personal events, the NCRTC has also introduced a formal premises hiring policy for:

  • Film shoots

  • Documentaries

  • Advertisements

  • Other visual media projects

Production teams will be able to hire trains or station areas for short-term usage at rates the corporation described as competitive.
The availability applies to both Namo Bharat trains and station premises, expanding options for media production within the NCR region.

The NCRTC emphasised that all media shoots must follow the same operational guidelines and safety protocols applicable to private events. Trains and station areas used for filming will also be monitored by NCRTC officials throughout the booking period.

Supervision to Ensure Safety and Compliance

All events and shoots—whether for private celebrations or professional media—will take place under NCRTC staff and security supervision.
This oversight is intended to ensure:

  • Compliance with station rules

  • Proper use of facilities

  • Safety of participants

  • Smooth continuation of regular train operations

The corporation highlighted that monitoring is a key part of the policy, given that trains and stations are public infrastructure with continuous commuter activity.
