TATA Communications Limited or TATACOMM

It was incorporated in 1986 and is a part of the $62.5 billion Tata Group. The Company, formerly Videsh Sanchar Nigam, was earlier being acquired from the Government of India. It is a leading global provider of a new world of communication systems. It provides a wide range of services which includes IP, transmission, converged voice, mobility, managed network connectivity, hosting and storage, managed security, distributed collaboration and various business transformations for the global enterprises and the service providers, as well as Internet, and retail broadband and the content services for Indian consumers. It also consists of one of the most advanced and the largest submarine cable networks. It has Tier–1 IP network connectivity, which is spread in over 200 countries with 300 Pops (Point–of–Presence). It provides many services to its customers via its offices present in 80 different cities spanning across 40 countries. It is the number one global wholesale voice operator as well as the best provider of the international long distance, and enterprise data, and internet services in India. It has also launched a Vulnerability Management Service (VMS) with Qualys, which is built upon Qualys' industry-leading QualysGuard vulnerability management and compliance solutions. The VMS provides organizations with a cost-efficient and comprehensive method to monitor mitigate and manage risks that threaten the Integrity, Confidentiality, and the Availability of data assets within the enterprise information infrastructure. Tata Communications expanded its global MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) services in South East Asian destinations, which include the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand. In May 2014, the shareholders of both the Neotel and Vodacom SA announced that they favorably agreed on the commercial structure and terms and conditions to proceed for Vodacom to acquire 100% of the shares of Neotel which are valued at an enterprise value of ZAR 7.0 billion. The Neotel connects the major centers in South Africa to each other and also with the world, and directly linking its infrastructure into the Tata 'Communications' global Tier 1 network.
